Hello & welcome
A floral, zesty dressing with elderflower cordial, fresh lemon, Dijon mustard, basil, and a touch of maple syrup for a balanced, flavourful finish.
Ingredients:
3 tbsp homemade elderflower cordial
60 ml extra virgin olive oil
juice of half a lemon
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil
1 tsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Method:
In a small bowl, whisk together the elderflower cordial, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup until smooth and combined.
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing.
Stir in the chopped fresh basil.
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Whisk briefly to incorporate the seasoning and basil evenly.
Serve immediately over your favourite salad or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
