Burrata With Grated Frozen Tomato

Embark on a captivating journey through tantalizing flavors, breathtaking destinations, and inspired living.

Hello & welcome

In a world that often feels divided, there’s something beautiful and simple about sowing the seeds of love into our everyday moments. Not grand gestures but the quiet, daily choices we make that ripple outward in ways we might never fully realise.

It starts small—a genuine smile to a stranger, listening when someone needs to talk, choosing patience over frustration in traffic. These aren’t gestures that cost us anything, but they’re exactly what the world needs more of. Each seed planted has the potential to grow into something larger, something that touches another person who then passes it forward.

The world today can feel full of division and anger, sadness and despair. Choosing love over hate isn’t going to fix everything, but small acts can make a bigger difference than we think if we let them. Anything is possible when we believe these moments actually matter.

Love multiplies when shared. A moment of kindness can shift someone’s entire day. A listening ear can change a week. Genuine care can change a life. The seeds we plant today become the garden others walk through tomorrow.

Today I’m jumping on the delicious viral TikTok trend of burrata with grated frozen tomato. I love this idea and it’s absolutely delicious. Freezing the tomato makes it easier to grate and creates a unique texture that slowly melts into the dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole burrata cheese
  • 1 large beef tomato, frozen
  • Fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Good quality balsamic vinegar
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1-2 slices of sourdough bread

Method

  1. Remove the frozen tomato from the freezer.
  2. Toast the sourdough slices until golden and crisp.
  3. Whilst still warm, rub each slice with the garlic clove.
  4. Place the whole burrata on top of the garlic-rubbed toast and gently slice it open to allow the creamy centre to ooze out.
  5. Using a coarse grater, grate the frozen tomato onto a board, creating delicate tomato shavings, then heap them over the burrata.
  6. Sprinkle the finely chopped fresh basil over the grated tomato.
  7. Season generously with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  8. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste.
  9. Serve immediately.
